Glenn’s professional and personal mission is to steadfastly serve the lives of others—especially the poor and vulnerable—and has served in several health care leadership roles for 25 years. Recently elected to oversee public education in North Clackamas School District, Glenn is committed to advancing equity, relationships, integrity, empowerment, and care, ensuring every student thrives. With a heart for providing young people with second chances, Glenn is drawn to the mission of Parrott Creek to bring hope that builds stronger families and safer communities. Glenn and his wife, Hannah, are parents to four children, reside in Clackamas, and are passionate about ways to bring hope and health into their community.
Angela Sheehan, owner of LEED, LLC works with emerging organizations and executives to help normalize “The Pain of Playing Big” with programs designed to help others be highly visible without compromising their values or sense of self. She has served on the boards of many for-profit and nonprofit organizations with a focus on environmental and social sustainability. Her favorite quote is Maya Angelou’s “When you know better, you do better.”
Elissa Looney is the Senior Strategic Initiatives Manager with Perlo Construction, a local commercial general contractor. She graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Business Administration and minor in International Business before returning to her home town to work as Project Manager for Perlo. Her career has included the development and growth of the company’s Special Projects Group, as well as significant involvement in organizations such as CREW Portland, which seeks to support and enhance the careers of women in real estate. A firm believer that sometimes people just need a leg up with some extra support to succeed, Elissa joined the Parrott Creek board to provide her knowledge of business diversification strategies to the group in order to aid in carrying out the Parrott Creek mission.
Kaolee Yang is the founder and CEO of SmartGrowth CFO, a firm dedicated to helping businesses and nonprofits build strong financial foundations and grow with confidence. She graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Business Administration and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Washington. With more than 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, Kaolee is passionate about empowering organizations to understand their numbers and make informed decisions. Her commitment to people and community is what led her to Parrott Creek.
Javier Montalvo is the Founder and CEO of Build Forward Design and Construction and a visionary leader with 25 years of experience in the remodeling industry. Javier’s journey began at the age of 18 when he self-designed and remodeled his own restaurant in Ecuador, setting the stage for a lifelong passion for construction and design. Relocating to Boston in 2015, Javier managed a design-build firm, learning the value of in-house processes. Drawn to the Pacific Northwest, he founded Build Forward in Oregon, earning accolades in Oregon Home Magazine and Houzz for well-designed projects. Beyond professional success, Javier dreams of building affordable, energy-efficient homes. For seven years, he’s been working towards this goal, driven by a passion for helping others that was instilled during his early volunteer experiences as a teenager and young adult. On a personal note, Javier is a proud father of two daughters and cherishes the honest and wonderful relationships he shares with them. His adult life has been marked by a consistent commitment to helping those in need, aligning with his desire to contribute to the mission of organizations like Parrott Creek. Javier is eager to extend his impact as a board member, leveraging his experience, passion, and dedication to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Alison Bookman-Skidmore joined Parrott Creek in 2024 with a career exclusively dedicated to the non-profit sector. She has contributed to organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters and, most recently, Volunteers of America OR (VOA). Over an 18-year tenure at VOA, she’s actively participated in various committees, including the Providence Elderplace Diversity Committee, VOA Safety Committee, OR State Plan for Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias, and the VA Family Caregiver Support Group. These experiences have enriched an understanding of the intricate dynamics of community care and the vital role of social determinants. Alison brings to Parrott Creek a deep-seated commitment to bridging community programs and individuals facing significant challenges.
Maile is a native Oregonian, went to Oregon City High School and is a graduate of Washington State University with a BA in Political Science. She brings over 25 years of experience in the employee benefits/life and health insurance industry, and she has also served as a board member of the Maurice Lucas Foundation (ML20) and the Oregon Association of Health Underwriters, as President. Maile is passionate about serving the community where she lives and works, helping children and young adults succeed in school and giving back to her profession.
Elisandra was first introduced to Parrott Creek in her role as the Community Engagement Lead on our Bright Futures capital project. Born and raised in Ciudad Juárez, México, Eli’s background has been an influential force driving her passion for social justice and design excellence. Now with over 12 years of experience, she leads public realm projects that elevate community voices and drive lasting social impact. She champions inclusive, equity-centered planning grounded in cultural relevance and informed by her diverse portfolio of activist and engagement projects spanning both sides of the US-Mexico border. Elisandra received the Design for Spatial Justice Fellowship and Visiting Assistant Professorship from the University of Oregon where she continues to play a pivotal role as an educator and founder of the Urban Violence Laboratory in Portland; an advanced research and design architectural design studio. Eli co-founded Portland Street Scene with Will Smith. In addition to her work at the firm and university, she holds the position of Fellow at the National Dean’s Equity and Inclusion Initiative with Dumbarton Oaks in Washington DC.
Alex was born and raised in Clackamas County before gaining a BA in American Studies at Warner Pacific University and a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Idaho College of Law. Alex has been a prosecutor for over seven years, now specializing in Domestic Violence cases. As an avid outdoorsman, Alex was also honored as the 2022 Oregon Fish & Wildlife Prosecutor of the Year. He is dedicated to making Clackamas County, and indeed all of Oregon, a safe place and providing a voice for victims. For over a decade Alex has been an After School Volunteer with Little Lights Urban Ministries. He is a new father as well as a keen golfer.
Clay has provided labor and employment law counsel and litigation services to employers for over 30 years. He has extensive experience litigating employment-related claims in federal and state courts, particularly representing employers in Americans with Disabilities Act litigation. Clay also provides counsel to employers, assisting in matters such as downsizings, reasonable accommodations, leave issues, and general day-to-day employment law questions which arise for employers. Prior to joining Tonkon, Clay clerked for United States District Judge Russell E. Smith in the District of Montana. Clay worked for almost 20 years at Bullivant Houser Bailey, PC, where he was a shareholder and served for a total of almost 12 years as Chair of its Employment Group. Clay served on the Board of the Portland Rescue Mission and has travelled several times to Africa in support of local development efforts.
Medical Director
Dr. Ben earned his doctorate of naturopathic medicine (ND) from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), a four-year accredited medical school program in Portland, OR. Founded in 1956, NUNM is the oldest naturopathic university in North America and one of the oldest institutions of higher learning devoted to the study of “natural medicine.”
